Serie: 200th Anniversary of Alexander Pushkin
(en) Pushkin stands by a large, spreading tree, his arms folded across his chest. In the background is a hilly Pskov landscape with a river, trees, and estate buildings.
At the top is the inscription "A.S. Pushkin."
Below is a lyre (the emblem of the "200th Anniversary" series) and the inscription "TRIGORSKOYE."
Trigorskoye is the estate of the Osipov-Wulf family, the poet's closest neighbors and friends, located 3 km from Mikhailovskoye. During his exile (1824–1826), Pushkin often visited here and drew inspiration for his works.

A set of five medals, "In Commemoration of the 200th Anniversary of the Birth of A.S. Pushkin. 1799–1999," was issued as part of large-scale Russian state events. The set was produced at the Moscow Mint (MMD), Goznak, in 1999 using cupronickel as a Proof and is supplied in a velvet case in protective capsules.
Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin (1799–1837) was the greatest Russian poet, the founder of the modern Russian literary language, whose work remains the foundation of national culture. The medals depict key sites and works associated with the poet's life and work: two Pskov estates (Mikhailovskoye and Trigorskoye), Boldino in Nizhny Novgorod, and his seminal novel, Eugene Onegin. The central medal, partially plated with brass (a portrait), has its own reverse, while the other four medals share a common reverse.
