The continuing excavations in Kadıkalesi/ Anaia under the direction of Prof. Dr. Zeynep Mercangöz, which started in 2001, have revealed a rich variety of finds indicating that Anaia was a lively commercial centre and an important strategic port in the later Middle Ages. This paper describes a hoard of 24 billon trachea, 'Kadıkalesi/ Anaia Hoard B', dating from the reign of Theodore I Lascaris found in the church in 2011. This and other hoards help confirm the importance of the city at this time.
