Descrizione

This 1987 BU Set of coins was minted by The Royal Mint in Llantrisant and issued by the New Zealand Government Treasury. It was issued in a Brown plastic wallet. (Some were issued in Dark Blue Wallets)

The set contains six standard definitive coins. 1c, 2c, 5c, 10c, 20c & 50c.

The NCLT $1 coin is commemorating New Zealand's first national park, Tongariro National Park. Which was founded in 1887 and is recognised as one of the 27 World Heritage Sites that are of both outstanding natural and cultural value. Gifted to the Crown by Te Heuheu Tūkino IV, the park includes several sacred Māori sites and three active volcanoes, Ruapehu, Ngauruhoe and Tongariro.
