From 1982 to 1983, the United States Mint did not offer the annual uncirculated set due to cost cutting policies. The only official non-proof uncirculated sets, were the souvenir sets sold at the Denver and Philadelphia mints. These sets were sold at an issue price of $4.00.
Exact mintage of the souvenir sets is unknown.
