30th Anniversary of the Two Dollar Coin  - Issued by the RAM to commemorate 30 years since the introduction of the Australian $2 coin in 1988 was this 2018 $2 Three Coin Proof Set. The set included three proof coins all dated 2018.

 

Since 1988, the Royal Australian Mint has been privileged to honour Australia’s Indigenous population on the country’s highest-valued circulating coin. Inspired by the work of Ainslie Roberts, Horst Hahne’s design of an Aboriginal elder has had an enduring presence for three decades, becoming a cherished national icon.

 

To mark its 30th anniversary, the three coins in this set have been struck to the Royal Australian Mint's meticulous proof standard, allowing you the opportunity to truly appreciate the artistry and heritage that each piece reflects. Each coin features one of the three obverse designs to have adorned the coin over the past thirty years.
