Hello

I have bought a new variety of Sweden 10 Kronor 1883. LA is only with a dot between L and A, after A the dot is missing. This variety does not exist in the Numista catalogue. I ask the person in charge to add this variety to the catalogue. Thank you.

I'm sorry tp contradict you, I see the point. Try to make a sharp image, because the one you have shown is not clear!

Hello

The coin is in the slab, so it is difficult to scan it correctly. I have looked at it under the magnifying glass - between L and A is a nice dot. After A there is definitely no dot. I don't know in what quality the image is transmitted in the message. If you send me an email address I will send you the original scan.

With kind regards

F. Janovsky

I took another picture with my iPhone. Is it more visible?

With your image being not fantastic I'll still say the
point after the A is there! So everything is normal!

For comparison, here's a L.A. from ebay. Both dots are there but the dot after A is weaker.

Dear Janovsky,

it's not that easy to find and prove that you have found a new variety, but please go on although this one seems a lost cause. The next one may be? Good hunt and a lot of luck.

Can we see a picture of the slab? Grading companies usually will put that type of information on the label such as these:

LA is written on the slab and that is wrong. But this happens relatively often with PCGS...

It just shows one shouldn't beleive everything one sees, but be inquisitive (in the good sense, of course).

I know that by 10 Kronor 1883 L.A. is the second point always weakly embossed. That's why I suspect that originally the second point was completely forgotten. This was noticed during the minting and the second dot was engraved somewhat sloppily afterwards. Anyway, I am glad that I have this coin. I have the Oscar II almost complete.

I would be happy to have it as well, but it's OK it's with you since you care about it:)
