Put in same position the filters of search of the three items of the catalogue [Risolto]

Now some filters of the filters box in search of catalogue has different position for coins, banknotes or exonumia:

• Banknotes and exonumia has similar position, with some different filters:
  • “Issuing bank” vs “Issuing entity”,
  • “Length”+“Width” vs “Diameter”+“Weight”, and
  • “Printer” vs “Mint”.
• but coins has one main difference with the others: “Design” (green) vs “Issuing bank”/“Issuing entity” (red); the others have “Design” more below.

My proposal is move some filters of banknotes and exonumia:

• “Design” is related to “Lettering” or “Script”, and in coins are near. Can be move to this position in the others (green).
• If “My collection”, “My want list” and “Avalaible for swap” are moved one position back, then will be in same position than coins (blue).
• “Issuing bank”/“Issuing entity” are only in banknotes/exonumia. Can be move at end, or between “Reference” and “Face value”, with a hole after or before (red).

Uniformity is what make user experience better, I vote for it!

I'm not saying the current design is better, I just would like to explain the rationale behind it.

Coins, banknotes and exonumia have a different number of search fields. I want to put the search field for the issuing bank for banknotes and the issuing entity for exonumia near the top without shifting all the following fields. The solution I used was to move only one field, and I selected the field “Design” as this is one of the least used. 

Your approach of introducing an empty space is another solution. The benefit is that the fields are at the same position between coins, banknotes and exonumia (especially the fields “My collection”, “My wishes” and “Available for swap”, which are currently shifted). The (minor) drawback is that an empty space may be confusing.

Another solution indeed is to add one more search field either for coins or for banknotes and exonumia.

If you add a filter “Issuing Entity” in banknotes, only the exonuma will have an empty space.😉

With another position, and some filters added, now the filters of search are in the same position for coins, banknotes and exonumia.
