This was the main mint for the Netherlands province of Overijssel in the reign of Philip II and the early years of the Dutch Republic.
(Note: very confusing because we also have a mint Hasselt, Belgium, which is a different place that struck coins for the Prince-Bishopric of Liege at the same time).
