To add on the English side (I wrote in the Spanish side):
- Alternative names: Gurzuwan,Gurzuban,Jurzuwan,Jurzuban
- Introduction:
The geographical location of the city of Kurzuwan is given by contemporary sources as lying within the region of Guzgan in medieval Khorasan, on the route from Marw al-Rudh (roughly located near the modern city of Bala Murghab, Afghanistan) towards Maymana (Faryab Province, Afghanistan). The city had served as the summer capital of the local princes/governors/rulers of Guzgan. The city was attacked and besieged by Mongols during the fourth and fifth months of the Islamic lunar calendar in the year 618 AH (1221 CE), falling within the early days of the fifth month of the calendar.
I do not know if we need add the source in the introduction.
