Has anyone else noticed how often the eagle's feathers on the German 2004A Euro are extended?   Clearly, this is a production error, but apart from those coins in mint sets, I've yet to find one in circulation without this error.

Please explain more in detail, since I have not understood, what you might mean by “extended” feathers?

If you look at the phot you will see what appears to extensions to the feathers of the eagle.

If you say so, but your not sharp images, do not show anything, do they?

Apologies, these may be a little better…

The details are easier to see in the forum (and most other places) if you crop the images.

These one don't have it.

and this is my coin, where there might be the same as on yours

I wonder, if the phenomena is not a matter of light reflections?

Did you look at your Berlin mint 2004?

Regardless, since this would be considered a mint error, no modification of a coin in the catalog is warranted.

I will, sorry, I took at the D and not the A. Coming up, Sir☺️

and here on the 2004A I found a beautiful cud!

As per my first post, I've not noticed this on any mint or unc coins, just those in circulation.  Just trying to find out if this is common for one specific date and mint as I now have two from 2004A

If it is not on UNC coins, then it is just worn?
