I was looking to add a coin I recently got to this Numista page for the 1812-1822 Durango 8 reales N#74774 And that there was a year and assayer combination that was missing. For the year 1818 it shows the assayer MZ and RM but it doesn't have CG. There is even a note for the 1818 RM that says over initials CG/RM exist. I went to change this but it said that that everything was verified and any new requests should be posted to the forum. Which is what I'm doing now. I will add a photo of my own personal coin that I am adding to prove that it does exist. If you want to pull the True view so there can be a photo for that year and assayer combination I do give my permission because this is an extremely nice example
Yes, I think you are right (obviously, you have the coin in your hands, hehehe) The initials CG are for the assayer Cosme Garcia and the years of this assayer's mark are from1818 to 1822. 1818 CG is listed in Krause too.
In this year (1818) there is letters RM for Ramón Mendoza too and letters MZ for Mariano Zandivar (I have my doubts on this coin, 1818 MZ, I read that coin of MZ are from 1813 to 1817, but 1818 MZ is listed in Krause KM 111.2 so it could be right. So 1818 have CG, ¿MZ?, RM and overdate CG/RM.
