Travancore was an Indian Princely State under British suzerainty.

 

Currently, it is listed under ‘Hindu Dynasties’ only.

 

The majority of Indian Princely States under British suzerainty were also under Hindu dynasties as well.

@Jarcek , Indian Princely States were those that came under British suzerainty.

 

Coins struck for places before coming under British suzerainty are NOT part of the British Empire & British Commonwealth series - as they were totally independent entities.
