2 Pfennig 1959 D proof missing?

Pubblicazioni di 4
Hey everyone,

I just bought a German 2 Pfennig Proof from a big German Seller on eBay (with more than 100,000 sold items on eBay). So I am pretty sure the coin is legit (and it looks legit to me, I just received it). However, I can't find it in the catalogue. I noticed the same thing for some other German Pfennigs in Proof (but I didn't buy them). I have read somewhere else that they in fact exist in low numbers (50 to 500). I think I also remember to have read that they might be in the Jäger catalogue, but I don't own one.

Can somebody maybe please help me? Am I wrong or is the catalogue here not complete (even though it explicitly says so on the page for 2 pfennigs).

Thanks a lot!
I just spent about 45min searching the web for this coin. The only place that I could find one and/or any reference to, are on auction sites.  Seems odd ... :°  :°

SCWC and NGC do not list a proof for that year and mint mark.  I would think with the age of the coin, if it actually exists, that at least one of the two mentioned above would have it listed.  Myself, I would have to question the validity of it being a proof and not just a high quality UNC or see a listing in an accepted Numismatic Reference, such as SCWC, NGC or the like...

Thank's a lot for your help and the effort you put in!

I am not quite sure whether I am allowed to post links, but I have no intention of advertising, I just want to get things right ;) So that's the coin I got:

http://www.ebay.de/itm/LANZ-BRD-2-Pfennig-1959-D-Muenchen-Polierte-Platte-PP-Proof-WV33-/301003243367?hash=item461530ff67&nma=true&si=TZ%252FO0ie6v0j2vyHD7A%252FLJM%252BqEDA%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Around the same date, other Pfennigs in Proof were sold by the same seller, I just post one other example, but there were also 5 and 10 Pfennig:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/LANZ-BRD-2-Pfennig-1960-D-Muenchen-Polierte-Platte-PP-Proof-WV35-/301003243877?pt=M%C3%BCnzen_Medaillen&hash=item4615310165&nma=true&si=TZ%252FO0ie6v0j2vyHD7A%252FLJM%252BqEDA%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

I think the seller is trustworthy, so did he make a mistake? Or is there just not more information?
In another forum I found a database that states there are, for 1959, 150, 75, 30 and 45 pieces in Proof for mint mark D F G J. The database also refers to J.381 (which i guess stands for "Jaeger"), but not only for 1959 proof, but for all 2 Pfennigs.

I am still a little bit confused... what do you think regarding the photos? Thanks a lot again!
The second link to a 1960D is the same thing. Only on auction sites.

Any reference to proof coins for KM#106,1950-1968 bronze non-magnetic are for the mints of F, G and J with the only exception being the 1950D…

I would want some kind of certification of it being a proof coin. To me the lettering does not look like a proof strike…  Just my opinion..
