Nah, just kidding, a very worthy winner though.  Either of the two coins in the final would have been a worthy winner.
Unless I missed it somewhere along the line, is there a possibility that all of the category winners could be listed and what prize (coin) they received .. ??

I'm not an expert in any kind of coins, but I reckon I'm good at research and will do my best to help. Feel free to tell me my identifications/valuations/gradings are wrong. It's the only way I'll learn.
Haha nice 1 but from the coin pics I think its a graded coin.

How can you make your coins hover like that?

Prizes are here https://en.numista.com/forum/topic23971.html

for the winners from each category check out the ultimate semifinals, all 7 are shown there.

The florin I sent as the prize for the Pacific section was the 1951 federation florin....I think, it was so long ago I can remember.  I know it was one of the commemoratives so it may have been the 1954 royal visit, but I think it was the federation

I had no idea that the coins in the contest were actually owned by members, and that the prizes are donated by other members. I thought it was just a bit of fun.

There are some very generous members on this site.

(Hopefully the winners are still around)

Yeah, they're all our coins i won the Asia Category last year but i wasnt fussed about the pize so gave it up ! this on has been too long winded and weneed to cut the entry amounts down, 1 from each section maybe uless you omit one category then  yo can add it to another ?
To make it quicker next time, Im thinking to just run 2 rounds of each category every week right from the start. (Number can be adjusted depending on how many entriesthis categories has). Some rounds finished very early also.

For the main price I have to make a deadline as I wont be in Europe for long for sending the coin.
So the owner of the Bermudas Penny please send me a PM before the 25th else there will be a new round with 3 other finalsts and the main prize will go to another member.

It's still ridiculously long, even with two rounds a week.  I think restricting people to 1 coin per round is a better idea to reduce the length.
I fear the winner might not be active on Numista anymore. So it looks like I will have to create a new round with the winners of Australia/Oceania, Asia and South America to find the winner oF the main price.

Thanks for clearing that out. The Bermuda Penny is hereby disqualified. Unfortunatelly only Dptashny can verify who send in the pictures. Im not sure what the fraud was trying to achieve here. There will be a new round launched shortly to determine the main prize winner.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  It's not about the most expensive coin, it's about the most popular coin.  Like in the first round of the pacific category when a battered looking sovereign was knocked out by a plain old Aussie commemorative florin.
The opening for your entries for MPCC IV will start from next week, I will launch a new topic giving you all the information.

Can we make suggestions before you decide on the rules?
We could do that, but some changes have already been fixed such as: everyone can only enter one coin from each category, there will be a new category for antique and medieval coins (up to 1450) and weekly update of rounds (if possible for me to do so).

The one coin per person was one Iw as going to suggest, also combining north and south america in to "the americas" since there really isn't many countries in North America.  Compare how many countries there would be in the combined americas with how many countries are in the Europe, Africa and Pacific/Oceania categories and it's still probably fewer.

Are you somehow biased towards Pacific/Oceania? :° There's way more countries and coins in the Americas than Oceania - especially when most of Oceania only got its independence in the last 60-odd years.

It's hard to divide America, but I don't think it should be avoided entirely. North/South America is a bit weird and arbitrary, bringing "Central America" into it would be even worse. I would recommend dividing it into Anglo-America (USA, Canada, most of the Caribbean, Belize) and Latin-America (the rest, I guess Haiti could be Latin?) because this would create the most even split.
Tuvalu, Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Territory of New Guinea, New hebrides, New Caledonia, French Polynesia, French Oceania, Niue, Cook Islands, New Zealand, Australia, Marshal Islands, Palau, Netherlands East Indies, Kiribati, North Borneo, Nauru, Pitcairn Islands, Solomon Islands, Tokelau....

Cook Islands alone has issued over 1000 different coins
We want to have as few categories as possible.  If anything should be divided up, surely it should be Europe since that category lasted for twice as many rounds as any other category because there are so many countries and that's what most people collect.  Africa and Pacific/Oceania have numerous countries but the rounds were over pretty soon because not many people collect coins from these areas.
Id like to keep North and South America with Panama belonhing to North America and being the frontier. The new category of antique and medieval coins might split some of the Europe entries but I dont think there is much to do Europe is likely to stay the continent with the most added coin entries. If the contest is updated round by round on a regular weekly basis it should be finished much sooner.

Having extra categories for Europe would help split things up.  It's ridiculous that Europe has to cover everything form the Mediterranean, to the Slavic countries to the middle eastern countries and across to Russia.  NO wonder the category took so long to complete.
Dividing Europe is even more difficult, I swear there are people who have university degrees in that kind of thing. Is Slovenia rich enough to escape being a "Balkan country"? Is Greece East or West, culturally or geographically? Nobody knows...

I suppose you could just split it along the Iron Curtain (with Yugoslavia and Albania included with the other Soviet-aligned communists). This would be cleanest, easiest, and it would remove the Russia Europe/Asia ambiguity - however, Turkey is still a problem, I would put them in Eastern Europe because of their Latin alphabet and E.U. candidate status.
Nothing will be divided but there might well be two weekly turns of Europe rounds and only one of the rest, this will depend on the added coin numbers I receive for the next game.
