V E I G looks like netherland east indies -java-BRITISH OCCUPATION but i cannot find

British India pice, Bombay Presidency. What is the weight? 1 pice should be about 11 grams, 1/2 pice about 5.5 grams... etc.

Hi guys- thankyou for your help-looks right (bombay) but the weight is all wrong-my digital scales have rounded to 4gms, so a long way out---(maybe forgery)--trying to join the 300 country club ,so this one does not help me,as i already have Indian states covered

The documented actual weight range for the 1/2 pice as per Baldwin's is.. 4.77 grams - 5.29 grams. In my opinion the coin is not a fake. The fakes I've seen for this type are very crude and lines in the bale mark are rarely straight

Hi thanks for input- (I hope you are right about not being fake) this coin is very crude especially in the edges with lumps all over the place--I will take to a jeweler to be weighed- what value does Baldwins put on it? Murray

Baldwin's is outdated when it comes to valuations... this is what NGC has.. I'm not sure this is accurate either
