This message followed the first. (Is there anyway to block these messages on Numista. How in the world did they get my wife's name.)
Dear Mr ???????,
??????? ??????? your spouse will also be put on home arrest if you do not comply.
Has anyone else received such a message . This came in today with my name mentioned.
Dr. Mr. ??????????,
Yesterday our servers in New York state offices picked up customs scripts that you have been illegally swapping with numerous members of this site.
if you continue to swap I will have no choice but to report you for fraud as well as international trade interactions. We have your address as well as phone number, if you do not delete your account within 48 hours we will have no choice but to place a home arrest on you
if you have any more disregards or questions contact us.
Sincerely,
1. FBI would come home knocking...
2.What would FBI had of you, deleting your account?
3. Why anybody from the FBI wanted to report you to themselves?
4. And meaning no offense, do you seriously think FBI director would write an email to you? Albeit an compromiting one (for him) as threatening is offense?
Where in my post did I say that I thought this was the FBI. I asked if anyone else received the message and is there a way to block the sender. Besides, no offense Jarcek, but someone from the FBI would not use the terms, "place a home arrest on you" and "if you have any more disregards". I never imagined receiving spam via a PM on this site.
The real FBI would really appreciate a copy of such fake warning
PS: remembers me newly-aired CSI: Cyber

Oh, sorry, I just skimmed it on the phone and thought this was just normal SPAM email. But if it was sent on Numista, I believe Administrator team should act on this immediately. It is pretty shamefull.
The sender's title is just FBI and the subject was FBI Comply. The second message came in with the subject as my wife's first & middle names. I looked up the phone number on a reverse lookup site and folks were reporting the number as a phone scam. The only bad swap was with GabrielGT. I gave him a zero star rating but I did not say anything bad about him.

There's numerous ways. The easiest is just to look up facebook pages, if You haven't set it to friends only and have your wife's name in the "relationships" section then you can just look there. Or there are marriage records.
If it is that silly Gabriel kid he has just committed a federal crime. If he is charged as an adult, that's some serious time in federal prison. An IP check will soon tell if it's him.
I really do hope he is this stupid. In fact I'm praying it's him.
Return every one of the stolen coins along with full reimbursement of the wasted shipping costs to each of your victims or spend the next five years sharing some jail lovin' with Big Bubba. Skinny white boy virgins are a hot commodity in those places.
Impersonating a Federal Officer is some serious business and as most of the victims live outside of state lines any DA with an ounce of brains will follow it up with a wire fraud charge.
Wouldn't it be nice to see a nasty little crook getting some payback for once?

Coins never arrived, never replied to my messages after we confirmed swap and eventually member unsubscribed. KARMA WILL GET you gabriel!!!
I hope this Gabriel kid is in fact prosecuted to the full extent of the law!
In all seriousness, if you, like me, got screwed over by GabrielGT AND you received this message from 'FBI.' there's little doubt that they are one and the same person. Do we have a legitimate legal recourse?

Hmmm, we might find this funny but I don't think all those who are scammed by GabrielGT find this funny. I know I wouldn't if I was one of the victims.
Seriously yes. Impersonating a federal officer it's just one of those things you just don't do. Even the dumbest and most desperate crack heads know better than to steal from mailboxes. Why? Because it's a federal offense and you will be getting hard time period.
Breaking state laws, misdemeanors, minor felonies.... who cares? Pay your fine and get on with your life. But once the feds get a hold of you then they will have you dancing to their tune for the rest of your life.
This dummy really put his head in the noose. An IP scan will provide enough information to show who created the account. Once the feds get together wither his ISP then they won't know just which posts he made, they will review his entire history on the internet from the very fist day he switched on a computer. This kid is in for a real awakening.

Cita: "dptashny"Does someone who has more information (address for example) care to report Mr. Comey to https://tips.fbi.gov/?
The best thing to do is to wait for the IP check and then forward a complaint to the FBI and then have each of his victims file a separate claim with their respective State Attorney General.
