1,059 new users joined Numista in May 2016, increasing the total member tally by 1.7%.

In comparison, Numista added 1,172 new members in May 2015, and 775 new members in May 2014.

May's new members added 85,500 coins into their collections (including one industrious American who cataloged over 22,000 coins in one month).

68.6% of these users have not yet entered a coin into their Numista collection.

1,045 of this month's new members selected a nation. 98 nations had at least one new member. 214 are American, 182 are French, 93 are British, 60 are Indian, 51 are Canadian, 31 are Belgian, and 23 are Australian.

There were notable surges in memberships from Fiji, Greece, Honduras, Mauritius and Singapore.

Only 14 of this month's users still have not selected a nation for their profile.

Albania, Aruba, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belize, Benin, China, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, Ghana, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Macedonia, Madagascar, Malawi, Malta, Moldova, Morocco, Namibia, Palestine, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Taiwan, Tanzania and Venezuela each gained one new member.

67% of this month's new users belong to one of the Top Ten nations on Numista by user count (France, USA, India, Canada, UK, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Brazil). Greece passed Morocco for 26th rank.

Of the top ten nations, the UK grew the fastest this month (4.4% increase), while Spain grew the slowest (1.71%). France grew by 2.0% and the USA grew by 2.4%.
