For example Trinidad & Tobago, the coins during the era of Elizabeth II are marked as being from that era without Elizabeth II being mentioned on the coin itself, to me it's just a handy reference, which was mentioned with Pakistani coins, but is now gone, I was just wondering why.
Hmm, you are right. I do not remember the discussion really. But I believe it had something to do with coins being issued not in the king's/queen's name, but in the name of government of Pakistan.
There are lot of Commonwealth countries with Queen as its head, but without being pictured or mentioned on the coins.
Sooo...i still am not clear why the coin listing refers a monarch who is not on the coin...i mean here in the USA we now have this pre federal business... we have all these colonials... should we include King Charles...or the various Georges?

Well that's a 2nd, should there be a reference.
But there was one and then it was removed, to me it just made a very easy reference as to when a country stopped being part of the "Empire".
