1,201 new users joined Numista in January 2017, increasing the total member tally by 1.7%. This is the largest monthly increase since January 2016.

In comparison, Numista added 1,256 new members in January 2016, and 1,000 new members in January 2015.

January's new members added 147,500 coins into their collections.

64.1% of these users have not yet entered a coin into their Numista collection.

1,184 of this month's new members selected a nation. 98 nations had at least one new member. 232 are American, 176 are French, 120 are British, 111 are Indian, 60 are Canadian, and 37 are Belgian.

Only 17 of this month's users still have not selected a nation for their profile.

There were notable surges in memberships from Iran, Kenya, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia, and the UK.

Albania, Armenia, Austria, Belize, Bermuda, Bolivia, Burundi, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Gabon, Gibraltar, Guadeloupe, Guernsey, Haiti, Honduras, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Mongolia, Montenegro, Myanmar, Nigeria, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Trinidad & Tobago, Uganda and Vietnam each gained one new member.

69% of this month's new users belong to one of the Top Ten nations on Numista by user count (USA, France, India, Canada, UK, Belgium, Spain, Brazil, Italy, Portugal).

It has finally happened. After years of watching the data creep towards this event, American memberships on Numista now outnumber French memberships, taking the top rank among our community.

Of the top ten nations, the UK grew the fastest this month (4.4% increase), while France grew the slowest (1.70%). The USA grew by 2.2%.

Spain added their 1,000th member, and Guernsey added their 10th member.
