This 2004 BU Set of coins was minted by The Royal Australian Mint in Canberra and issued by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand & New Zealand Post. The set was packaged in a blister type folding coincard and was inserted in a slipcase.
The set contains six standard definitive coins, 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, $1 & $2.
The NCLT $5 coin is celebrating the Chatham Island Tāiko. It is a small seabird in the gadfly petrel genus, Pterodroma. Found exclusively on Chatham Island, New Zealand it is one of the rarest seabirds in the world, believed to be extinct for over 100 years before its rediscovery in the 1970s.
