Since tourists, particularly Germans, eagerly bought up the first edition of 1993 BU set (Multi-page Version; https://en.numista.com/catalogue/set.php?id=779), the distributor, Magyar-Osztrák Kereskedelmi Rt. (WIMNB), realized that the amount of issued sets won't be enough. As a cost-saving measure, they introduced a single-page version.

According to the manufacturer, this set has a mintage of approximately 2,000–3,000 pieces.
