Whenever I click on a link, it opens in the same window, but I actually want to stay on the numista website. Can we arrange that external links are always opened in a new tab/window?
Thanks for this idea, it’s definitely annoying and also not productive for Numista. It look like we are kick out of Numista each time we click an external link.
I would say a new tab an not a new page when possible.
I don't understand the fuss. When you open an external link in a new tab or new window you have to click again to close that tab or window afterwards. It's as much trouble as clicking on the arrow to go one page back and be on the Numista page again, so what's the win?

Hi
The proposal is probably based on habits. I also tend to like more having a new window, as I am more accustomed to closing tabs after use rather than clicking on "back" button. So in this way there are more steps coming back to previous site (whether over history or the regular way). This one should be decided by admin, as there is no middle way here.

The problem from my perspective is to kick out people of Numista each time they click on an external link.
It’s not user friendly, if you go to Colcnet and click on an advertisement you stay on the page and it open you a new tab. In Numistayou are kick out of the page and go shopping in the advertising site, that’s not clever for Numista image.

I still don't get it. You still have to close that new tab afterwards. That's as much trouble as clicking on the go back arrow to be in Numista again. It's not that you have to login in Numista again, that would indeed make a big difference.
And if you click in Numista on an advertisement, that page will open in a new tab.
And when you click below on coin pages on an eBay link, this also automatically will open in a new tab.

This assumes one only wants to open only one other page before going back to the original Numista page they were on. Many times I want to open multiple pages linked on the same Numista page. For example I may want to open all 4 links like below without leaving the Numista page then go see them when I'm ready. To be fair though, it's just as easy to right-click "open link in new tab" to do the same thing.
Edit: My mistake. I just realized this doesn't happen. These links already open in a new tab. But, there are cases where this doesn't happen.
I have more then enough tabs open at any moment ... I don't need more.
I already hate that Mozilla nuked the 'view image' function and now a have to open it in another tab like stupid other browsers.
Like already said there a multiple ways to open in new tap ctrl+ , middle mouse button as well as old faithful right-click.
Also if you use a mouse not from the last century you'll have thumb buttons at least for forward and backwards were you can easily switch between your tab history.
