Hi
I started receiving requests for updates and I find that I do not have the data loaded in the database.
Below I detail those of my competition :
Issuing authority : Argentina
Creation -> Ruling authority : Provincias del Rio de la Plata(1813-1815)
Correct denomination -> Ruling authority : Republic(1816-date) <- Current : Federal Republic(1816-date)
Issuing authority : Buenos Aires
Create -> Ruling authority : Buenos Aires(1822-1861)
However, with a few amendments, please check them and if there is any problem, let me know.
Mainly, we should not add "Cordoba" as a ruling authority for "Cordoba" because it is superfluous. We can add the form of government or status of the issuer (e.g. republic, federal province, confederate state, etc).
Also, Argentina is a Federal Republic, why do you want to change it?
Hi strato
Cordoba is, like the other coin issuers of ours at that time, one of the largest like La Rioja and like Buenos Aires. They were independent coin issuers.
The name of Argentina is República. It is not the Federal Republic of Argentina.
I'm reviewing the changes and I'm telling you.
Thank you very much and take care.
Gustavo
Numista referee coins, banknotes and exonumia for Argentina, Argentine provinces
I absolutely love the Ruling Authority feature when issues are properly attributed to the King who issued ... and i totally understand this will take time ... I will love to help when and if Americans are allowed to be referees.
For example, I own a lot of coins of Mithradates VI ... he was one of the last Greeks to unite a large area and make a stand prior to Roman subjugation. He consequently had a lot of coin issues under many different cities. It would be helpful to click Mithradates VI under "Ruling Authority" and instantly see all the eligible coins from all the cities attributed to him (Pimolisa, Amisos, Sinope, Amastris, Dia (Bithynia) etc).
Right now due to someone's hard work, identifying Ottoman Paras was made easier ... when i have an issue from Sultan Murad (for example), i can click his name under Ruling Authority and see a listing of all his Ottoman, Egypt(eyelet), and any other listings ... very helpful
Certainly this would be great to do for all coin types. A lot of work to be sure.
