Currency units / Denominations should always start with capital letters - especially in the English version of Numista.

Why though?
That's not how the English language works at least according to all websites and dictionaries I know/own.

Capitalisation is very common in numismatic catalogues - not only in Krause & Pick.

It also helps the currency units / denominations to stand out - especially from the compilation perspective.

I always start a currency unit / denomination with a capital letter - eg; Bruneian Dollar.

Currency codes are always capital letters - eg; Bruneian Dollar - is 'BND'.

Hello,

We have several instances where currency names are used on Numista. On the English side:

- in titles, we use title capitalization:
50 Pence - Elizabeth II

- in currency titles and their descriptions:
1 Pound = 100 Pence

- in sentences in comments, descriptions, free text, etc.: we use sentence case, so currency names are only capitalized if they start a sentence.
"One pound equals 100 pence."

This is also the case with Krause. Check for example "US dollar" in the "Valuation" chapter at the beginning of the books.

Best regards
