Why is there no "printer" option? [Risolto]

Hi all, why is there no box to input the printer? Many types are identified by their printer, and I notice sometimes the printer is sometimes listed in the "engraver" category (which makes no sense, if there is a "designer" slot as well), in the comments, or in the year comments when they should be listed as separate types. I ask especially since I collect by printer (ABC, B&W, SBC, TDLR, etc.). Thanks guys, stay safe

Perhaps Xavier is awaiting consensus on how Printers should be reflected in the database.

The previous thread ... https://en.numista.com/forum/topic96668.html ... seemed to have agreement that a "Printer" table should be added to Numista, similar to "Mints" for coins.

However, the discussion introduced a debate between ...

1. "git 'er done" members like ceh2019 (add me to this crowd: "swimmingly") who want to associate the printer with the year line, so that multiple printers could be associated with one Pick #

2. "expert" members like Oklahoman and BCNumismatics who appear to favor a new page (banknote type) for each additional printer, even if the SCWPM lumps them in one Pick # or "type"
