Hopefully everyone here is ok, especially with COVID going around. My family and I had to go through a mission just to come home. Luckily I got a few nice Qatari banknotes in the process:
Stay safe out there and let’s see your latest additions!
I recently got these trade tokens. One of from my hometown that I didn’t know existed! Hopefully by the end of this weekend I will have pages created for them.
Got two awesome addition from the Wilhelminian era:
Medal from the Emperors Manouver of 1909:
Medal from the Imperial veterans appeal of 1910 (Nearly 40 years after the last war Prussia fought 1870/71)
Also got two more modern wedding commemoratives:
Thailand - 1 Baht 1977 -First wedding of the Crown Prince (Now King Rama X) - His later wife's didn't appear on coinage as far as I know
Niue Island - 1 Dollar 2011 - Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton - Normally I dont buy coins from that kind of mint but I think this one got a decent quality to fill this gap in my royal collection and the price of 3€ is ok too.

Some new coins in my collection:
Saint Kitts and Nevis,
Aachea,
Kingdom of Cyprus,
Palembang,
Riau and some old Indian and Spanish coins
very nice additions! I picked up Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent last week, I still need Saint Kitts :)
James VI - Scotland - Type I Hardhead. Quite a rare coin that was only struck from 30 August 1588 to 6 November 1588.
James VI - Scotland - 9th & 10th Coinages - 2 Shillings - Struck from 1605 to 1625. This is my second of these coins, this one is in much better condition. Now I'm on the lookout for its English counterpart 2d: ½ Groat - James I (2nd coinage) - England – Numista
Cmaclean and Zac UK - really nice pieces and fascinating too, those Scottish silvers are lovely.
Really slow off the boat this month, been saving a bit for a trip and some expensive garden work we having done. Still I buy the occasional piece.
1954 Australian Royal Visit Florin, lightly stained AU/UNC
NZ 1990 Convention overprint set of 1990 Proof coins (One off designs for NZ1990). These are all Sterling Silver and only 100 issued with these overprint, I got this for under $100 which is incredible given the silver alone is worth $70.
6 sixpences in gVF to AU condition, these are 1936 and 1944 (2 each) and 1939 and 1943. The cat on these coins in EF to AU condition is around $60 - $100 each and the gVF one around $40. The whole group cost me $100. My current selection includes VG and Good examples!
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

Thank you. They don't often come up for sale so I feel very lucky to have them. Those are some beautiful New Zealand coins. I've always had a strong liking for George V's New Zealand issues. Such a unique and striking portrait.
My newest medals:
1793 Jeton - Death of King Louis XVI.
1840 french medal - 10 Years anniversary of the July Revolution
Rough conditioned but quite rare russian medal from 1861 commemorating the liberation of the serfs under Tsar Alexander II.
Belgian medal from around ww1 celebrating the brave defense of Belgium
A chance buy at a stamp auction - best $20 I ever spent.
World group - 2 notes, a Playboy casino coin from 1966, 2 Ike dollars, an 1865 3c nickel (gFine/gVG), a few British Miscellaneous
Australia was the highlight , 3 x silver 50 cent coins (Silver is worth twice what I paid for everything), Many 50c and 20c including some nice condition early dates like 1975 and 1976, 4 x 1970 Cook 50c, 3 x $2 coins and 3 x $1, a 1997 10 cent piece (Scarce date) and a Legends 25cent coin from 2016 (One off series of collectible pieces).
Topped off with a high VF 1936 Australian Penny.
For $20 a good buy and just before our latest lockdown!
I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

Just one coin as the mail seems to be on a go slow
1948 GB Halfcrown, okay a really common base metal date, 74 million.
But 73.995 million of them are VF and under, this is the first ever AU one I have seen.
Seriously this focus on silver, people forget about Cupronickel and 99% of 1940s and 1950s
base metal coins in the UK are worn.
No one was putting these aside in this shape - so hence why I feel it was $20 well spent
(I can get a similar condition silver halfcrown for that!)

Such a quick auction and the seller did not even wait for the credit to be payments for the auction. My word was enough for him to send it.
This happened to me for the first time at auctions.
There were two auctions and I was interested in German coins-Pfennig. I haven't watched the Prague groschen of all Wenceslas IV yet , I was not interested groschen in only small pfenniks .
Electorate of Saxony (Albertinian Line)- 1 Pfennig - Johann Friedrich I & Moritz
Bishopric of Salzburg -1 Pfennig - Matthäus Lang von Wellenburg
Rakousko - Habsburg-1 Pfennig - Ferdinand I Klagenfurt
two small I don't know one is someone with a crown and a sword and I have already earned the other lion somewhere.

'19th Century Catholic School Committee Medal | Reward For Good Conduct'
Seller description:
A copper medal / medallion from the Catholic School Committee, Birmingham.
This would have been issued within the 1800's. Reads ‘MATER ADMIRABILIS MONSTRA TE ESSE MATREM’
And on the other side ‘REWARD FOR GOOD CONDUCT AND ADVANCE IN LEARNING
FROM THE CATHOLIC SCHOOL COMMITTEE’. Will make better pictures when it arrives next week.
I was bidding for tons of lots from this seller and in the last moment I lost everything since I could atend the last minute bids, another shame for me this month
