I was browsing the new Exonumia section and I came across Numista tokens especially the 10th anniversary ones and I’m thinking about the 15th anniversary of Numista next year. I would like to know if the moderators and the administrators are planning anything such as tokens or even a fantasy coinage/notes based around Numista?

This is just my ideas so don’t be too harsh on it.
Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.
I bet you are thinking about buying it! 0:)

Possibly if it’s within my budget and easily available.

If the Numista team somehow mint some coins or print notes (on a small scale) some Numista based currency and sell it either here or on sites such as Ebay.com.

Hello,
You might be interested by this article: https://en.numista.com/numisdoc/numista-token-2013-195.html
The story for the 2017 token was quite similar.
Both the 2013 and 2017 tokens were nice experiences, but such projects are very time consuming (especially for discussions with the mint, the shipping process and accounting), so I'm not sure I'm ready to do it for the 15th anniversary.

Hello Xavier

I fully understand because of course it will take weeks to contact and discuss to the mint to produce the coins and with the pandemic going on most would be closed to applications.

After thinking for a bit maybe possibly a contest for the best designed coin/note or similar to the most popular coin contest but for a certain decade or century.

I think that possibly this idea would be pushed to the 20th anniversary in 2027 but I would not get into much detail about that. But maybe we can organise this to be online only like users can design coins or notes and like I said can be done like a competition.

Ok, I'm really done with this bullshit. Who do you think you are, planning a contest on behalf of a community you've only recently joined? Several times now, you've been asked to take a step back and stop taking control of the entire forum. And still you're creating topics on a daily basis, responding to almost every topic, proclaiming how you're going to buy this coin and those banknotes when you grow up, becoming a referee after you planned your career and all other childish nonsense that you scatter all over the forum. You're disrupting this website and it needs to stop!

lol, this. My thoughts exactly.
Not trading coins just a lot of what grandfather would call 'chin music ' I really could do with less.

The tap of occasional insight needs to be fully functioning - it is barely dripping right now.
Is it possible for a student to amass 20,000 coins - something doesn't add up. This person is a coin dealer, not a student. They are gauging the forum for demographics - after all data is power.
The frequency of posting and starting random new threads would be deemed as trolling on certain platforms.
Or this is someone craving for attention and loves being in the eye of the storm.

Suggested new topics -

Show me the change in your pockets.

Guess the change in your pockets

Guess the change in my pockets.

Guess how many coins from 2014 in my pockets
and so on....
Good memories of the 10 years Medal.
sure must be a lot of work.
I remember a numista member which joined after the 10 years Token but who was a designer also for Euro coins of Italy .
If you like coins, medals and tokens with ship motives follow my new instagram account with regular updates @numisnautiker
From time to time I sell some coins on Ebay make sure to follow me @apuking on Ebay.

Hi BluHawk and others who are annoyed at me.
  1. I can see that you assume that I’m a coin dealer (which I’m not by the way) but I do what a lot of coin tubers to get a lot of knowledge on world coins mostly 1900s to now that could explain some things.
  2. What I meant by 20,000 coins is by swapping, buying and finding coins over a period of at least 10-20 years. This might sound strange but it is my personal goal so don’t critique it.
  3. About the forum. Originally I wasn’t going to post on there but after a year and many unanswered questions later here I am. If you look back at the coin identification posts I made they’re not professional but are better than what most post and of course I will post more identification topics when I buy a coin lot.
  4. About your comment about me “creating attention” these are reasonable topics 95% of the time and would not need to be altered until there’s too many or a new decade rolls over.
  5. A bit more about that I understand where I made a error and that resulted in me getting bombarded with hate comments and people over correcting me when I make a small mistake. When I’ve made most of the posts a lot of people. Participate in it even some of the Numista members joking in and say good things about what each other posts.
  6. Finally to those people who dislike my posts you can simply just ignore them instead of using harsh language towards me (sorry to friendly who understand what I’m doing) But people need to take a chill pill when things get rough I did not start insulting people when they insult me I remained calm and most of them apologised shortly after the things they said that’s when I PM them with a long paragraph of what they said and how I forgives them.
  7. And again to those people who don’t like my posts just ignore them. 👍
Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.
And to add on This was just a topic where we can (if you want to) discuss about what we should do for 15th anniversary of Numista next year I know that sound a long time away but it’s better to plan early.

Also what smvdbrink said the second post hurt my feelings.😢 What I meant was just ideas because of course I won’t run the competition and what Xavier said about doing tokens which he/she explained that it was time consuming work to do that (which I understand)

So this was originally set up for users to post their ideas about what all of us should do for the 15th Birthday of Numista not just mine.

Better than what most post? Really? A question about a Disneyland token, a question about a John Deere token and a question about a Chinese cash. Oh, and one intention to have a go at identifying a Nepal coin, but without any result so far.

Cita: "Worldwide collection"About your comment about me “creating attention” these are reasonable topics 95% of the time and would not need to be altered until there’s too many or a new decade rolls over.
Reasonable topics? Asking people to show their coins from every decade in separate topics? Asking people to show coins from DPRK and Cuba and then, when no-one responds, posting a crying face? You call that reasonable topics?

Cita: "Worldwide collection"Finally to those people who dislike my posts you can simply just ignore them instead of using harsh language towards me (sorry to friendly who understand what I’m doing)
With all the topics you create, it's impossible to ignore you!
Cita: "Worldwide collection"[...] most of them apologised shortly after the things they said that’s when I PM them with a long paragraph of what they said and how I forgives them.
So you even harass people via PM? It's a good thing that I'm not apologizing to you, please never PM me with a long paragraph. If I really want absolution, I'll convert to Christianity.
Cita: "Worldwide collection"Also what smvdbrink said the second post hurt my feelings.😢
Boohoo! Perhaps you should read what I wrote and do something with it, instead of wailing how I hurt your feelings.

Valid points that have been succinctly explained by smvdbrink.
Being a coin dealer is not a crime - you can choose to be anything you want to. Coin dealers are our best friends.
It is your incessant bombarding of the forum with mind numbing topics that need rationed.
Have to doff my hat at your attempts to obfuscate matters by posting long winded explanations - I take back the coin dealer guess. I think you are a budding politician.

that’s when I PM them with a long paragraph of what they said and how I forgives them.

Forgiveness is quite a significant word to use - usually points to delusions of grandeur!
[edit vp: non complying]
That is really over the line Dejan...
