It might be real. If fake it is well done. can you get an accurate weight? allowing for wear and hole it should weigh about 1.5g

The hole could easily make up for that small difference, if not more.

yes! but it also can mean that coin has similar weight to gold.
I am not judging whether the coin is authentic or not, you asked about the weight discrepancy. I tend to think it is not authentic but you have to make that determination as to whether it is gold or not. Perhaps with a gold test at a jeweler.
