The current state denying of showing requested new pages in general search results is OK, no problem with this and should stay as it is.
Though it would be probably nice for every user to have a possibility to see new pending - unpublished pages, but only on this page:
https://en.numista.com/catalogue/contributions/nouveau.php (includes all types).
The links of new requests if there are any in pending state should be displayed only after user selects "Issuing authority".
This way everyone who would want to add new page could see if he was already "beaten to it" by other user. The link should carry the name of the added piece, without displaying the authors name on the page itself. This way users can simply save time, avoiding adding a page, which is not going to be published. I know this was discussed before, but no such solution exists at the moment.
(For admins) I am having currently this request. This coin was not yet publicly announced, probably is not coming out anyway (currently I have no info on this).
