apologies if this already has been discussed before and I was not smart or patient enough to find it:
Currently we can see the accumulated value of our collection in the "my coins" section, based on their current silver value, gold value and or the (anticipated) market value of a part of the coins and banknotes.
In my collection I have numerous coins and banknotes, that are legal tender in their country (or if in EUR in mine).
You can see their individual monetary value in the "Features" for each coin or banknote in my selected currency (for example a US Quarter = 0.21 EUR).
I would be interested to see how much "liquid" money I have in my collection, so would be wishing to see an aggregated sum each for coins and banknotes, as we can now see for precious metals.
Example: I have only 10 US Quarters in my collection, nothing else, the aggregated value would be 2.10 EUR.
An appreciated add on would be to include (or maybe separately show) the value for coins that are no legal tender anymore but can easily be cashed, like some pre-Euro currencies.
As the figures, at least for legal tender coins, are already somewhere there anyway, and the functionality to aggregate individual values per coin into one amount, as well, my hope is that it should not be a major effort…
Thank you!
in the end everything will be good - if it's not good, then it's not the end...
At present, I am trying to teach my family how to handle and value my collection in case that I am no longer around and notice that current circulation notes (incl. USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CHF) have no value when exported to the excel; similar issue found with the coins and even if the total bullion value of gold & silver appears on the map page, there is no value for the individual item on the excel.
In principle, the data is already existing and should not be difficult to extract to the excel.
I think these could be very useful additions to the overall functionality of the catalogue.
If this feature gets implemented (which I'd really appreciate) I would however like ways to sort this.
For example I might want to know the combined fave value of only my euro coins (excluding the aforementioned converted €0.21 per US quarter and other currencies), or only that of circulating coins.
