In Serbia list of currencies, the newest is listed as 2006 to date. That is wrong. It has to be 2003 to date. It is visible from the banknotes of 1000 and 5000 dinara that started with date 2003.
If you look at the coat of arms you'll see they're different. The 2003 dinara is for the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro. In May 2006 Montenegro became independent.
I'm not sure if the new Republic of Serbia continued with the same currency (Serbian and Montenegrin dinara?) though, or if they reformed it to a pure Serbian dinara, but without any official reformation. Is the currency code the same before and after 2006?
The value has left same, there was no devalvation and no change in the name of currency. If you prefere you can add additionally another currency instead, from 2003 to 2006 but from my point of view it has no sence. Now is missing 3 years. I mean, there is no currency to connect to banknotes from 2003 to 2006.
Montenegro abandoned the use of the Yugoslavian Dinar in favour of the German Deutsche Mark in the late 1990's, as the Yugoslavian Dinar continued to be hit by hyperinflation (like the Zimbabwean Dollar scenario).
From 2002, Montenegro has used the Euro as its currency.
