Trying to enter a coin from Sweden. A 2008 10 Kronor. There is no selection for 2008. Skips from 2007 to 2009. Is this a typo or do I have the wrong coin?
No you don't, it's just that nobody has entered a coin in this year yet. You are the first. You can add years by using "modify or add information about this coin" at the bottom.
Look at the upper right of the coin sheet. You will see a symbol that resembles a notepad paper.
It has three states you will encounter on this site:
1) BLANK, NOT YET VERIFIED
a blank notepad paper. it says noone of the team has checked the sheet for correct data yet.
You can still edit anything. Including years - that's the case here with your 10 kronor coin !
If a coin sheet isn't locked yet (blue numbers in the paper symbol at upper right of the screen) because years / mintages are completely entered you can still add years yourself if you find a case.
2) COMPLETE YEAR LIST
Blue digits on the notepad paper - The coin sheet has been checked and verified for complete mintages.
Adding years is impossible for users of Numista to prevent false data to be added.
But: If it is locked that way and you have a coin with a mintage year that isn't in the list you have to tell the admins with PM or make a message here in the forum so that we add
this year manually ourselves.
3) VERIFIED DATA
If a coin sheet has a green checkmark on the paper symbol (upper right) it basically says that it has been checked by one of the team members here and is verified for its data - but NOT the years. This does NOT mean that ALL information is present so you can still add data yourself.
4) COMPLETE AND VERFIED
if it has green check mark AND blue digits in the symbol it says... well... that is has been verified and
locked for mintage years. Missing information in blank fields may still be added though.
5) PARTIALLY COMPLETE (AND VERIFIED)
if it has just a blue "1" digit in it: years are complete up to a specific year but the coin's mintage isn't
complete yet because it is still in production and circulation. This mostly applies for newest coins that are still legal tender. You can add newer years after the locked year list here.
Hope this helps.
best regards, Andree
NOTE: all examples mean that still errors may be present. We too make faults and sometimes we get information that is still missing or falsely entered. Sometimes also the data entered out of catalogues isn't complete despite having professional data sources. Even catalogs may be wrong
i would like to enter in my collection this coin which is dated 1944, but the coin isnt in the list. the list however says it is complete. the coin is a Swedish 25 ore. is there any possible way i could enter the date or the numista team can?
