What is it like to be a Numista referee?

Hi all. Lately I have noticed that there are some complaints about the acceptance or rejection times of the modifications request that can affect the correct functioning of Numista and the discouragement of some users when creating or modifying content in the Numista Catalog. I myself have noticed slower approval of the modifications and / or creations of the Catalog pages.
I have also seen that, possibly related to what was written above, users have been asked to incorporate new referees to the Numista team for quite a few issuers (I have asked myself at some point).
For all the above, I think it would be good to be able to better understand the work carried out by a Numista referee, commented on by the referees or moderators of the website. What are the fundamental requirements to be a referee and, above all, what is the work they do, what amount of modification request can be accumulated, based on what documentation (own or provided by Numista) a request is approved or denied , etc...
I think that being able to know some of these details first-hand can make it easier for many users to understand and be able to better assume the delay times and, in some cases, even try to take on the tasks of a referee with some additions to the Numista team .
Thanks in advance, Oscar

I would like to know the “behind the scenes” of managing a issuers/nations catalog, because recently I’ve been half tempted to apply to become one.
Hi to whoever is reading this. Did you know that TYPEWRITER (on a QWERTY keyboard) is the longest word you can type using only the letters on one row of the keyboard.
Hello
You can find some info here:
https://en.numista.com/help/who-are-the-numista-referees-9.html
Hello, thank you very much for the answer, I have seen the link and it has been very useful to know some information related to the Numista referees, but I would like to know what is the amount of work that can be accumulated before deciding if I can contribute something as a referee. I would also like to know what is the way to approve / reject modification request at the computer level, is it a complicated process or is it very simple?
Is Andorra pre-Euro still available? I suppose that Spain - Euro already has a referee and is not needed, is that correct?
Thank you very much,
scar

Ok, thank you very much for the information. I see that the two issuers I could aspire to are not available ... I'll wait for my moment :)

Unless, some places have one referee, but may need help.
Some places have more than one. No harm in asking them I guess.

I offered to be a referee some times ago together with some free places. It seemed that it is a long process to become a referee, because after my request nothing happened (after first answer).
If the referees do not need help it is also all right - I do not offer twice.

Might I suggest that a referee be appointed to oversee additions to banknotes of Finland.

Perhaps existing referees of either the coins of Finland, or of banknotes of Sweden or Estonia might be approached to take on this additional responsibility.
Referees have page with user requests like this:

And then actual request:

Everything is pretty straightforward from tehnical point of view. There is also forum dedicated to referees for additional work. Andorra pre-Euro is still free.

PS: Mifrjoar (I have taken note, response time is longer because holidays. And also because ny newborn son demands my time :) ) It is 4 am here curently, hehe.

There is an alphabetically classified list of catalog referees and their countries, is there also a list of all the countries in alphabetically order and their referees?

Could those two lists be put somewhere central and updated each time something changes?

PS found the country list: https://en.numista.com/team.php?ct=coin#referees, what about the updates?

Congratulations, no I don't miss anyone, but I have a question about knowing which referees work on which site (English or French or eventually both)?

Because I do not speak french I am able to work on english sites only. But if there is a request in french I translate everything with googles help or place descriptions with my own words. I guess you can get this onformation if you see the languages from referee in their profile.
