Pope Benedict XV Medallion

I have a medallion issued under Pope Benedict XV (Pope from 1914 - 1922). I've got two questions please I wanted to check before adding it to the catalog:

- Who do I put as the issuing authority? The Papal States were absorbed into the Kingdom of Italy in 1870 and Vatican City was created in 1929. Since this falls in the period between, does it come under the Kingdom of Italy? (It could be argued it is issued by the Holy See, although they aren't listed as an issuer. I'm also just going on the contents, I have no idea who ACTUALLY made the piece.

- And can someone please double check the text? I don't think it's too worn, I think it's just how it was made:

Not knowing Latin doesn't help, but I make it:

in iis qvae patris mei svnt ofortet me esse

Which Google translates as "in those things which my father's father needs me to be", which sounds not quite correct, but perhaps not as mangled as I could have done :)

And the obvious assumption would be that the image is Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus.

Happy to take any corrections or extra info and then I'll add it to the exonumia section.

One letter wrong

Please make it in capitals, like it is on the medal, and like you did for the obverse.

Yes to the images - Sanctæ Familiæ Jesu, Mariæ, Joseph.

Do you know the correct translation? Google tells me "in those things which my father's meteors must I be" which doesn't seem quite right...

Re the capitalisation, good reminder :) I had just jotted down the letters reading them off the medallion to try and get them right.

Any thoughts on what I should put for the issuer please?

The lettering around the reverse is from the Bible
Luke 2: 42-51


Et ait ad illos quid est quod me quaerebatis nesciebatis quia
in his quae Patris mei sunt oportet me esse.

The lettering having his instead of iis is not a mistake, just a different Latin version.

From that page, the translation is
And he said to them: How is it that you sought me? Did you not know that
I must be about my Father's business?

The nine Latin words are translated as seven English words:
I must be about my Father's business

No idea who to put for the issuer - anything on the edge?

The edge is smooth, so no clues there. Re the issuer, I might put the Vatican. Technically, assuming it was issued in 1914, it is before the Vatican City state was created, but it is more accurate than Italy. Looking at a few others from that period, it seems others have also put the Vatican for Benedict XV and Leo XIII pieces.

as best I can, with them being taken at an angle -
the edge can be seen in the lower parts of both sides.
