Hi All.

According to the case holding the 1969 Fijian dollar coin, the coin is a commemorative.



On it's Numista page, it is classified as a ' standard circulation coin '

Does this need changing?

In 1969 there were NO commemorative 1 dollar coins in Fiji:


Now you can draw your conclusions
1 the holder is a fake (probably)
2 the holder is true (you have made a find!)

The case that the coin is in is a Sandhill case - a very old way of packing a single Crown-sized coin.

So BCNumismatics says it's not a circulating coin and Sjoelund says Numista is correct, the holder is wrong.

I'm confused.

A private packing is always a looser.... So not a commemorative coin, but a normal circulating coin like stated by SCWC?
