Terms of Use In case of any discrepancy between the English language version and the French language version of this Agreement, the latter must prevail.
French is the first language of the forum. English is the main language of usage.
Sounds fine. I understand both. I also understand Polish to some degree, well enough to read a children’s book and order a few beers at any rate.
As this is an international forum, I would suggest that languages other than French or English be allowed when the member does not have a knowledge of either - and then translated.
Whilst google translate is a good tool, it makes mistakes.
In my experience, it is always a better policy to allow a member with no knowledge of the forum language to post in their native language and have that translated into English or French by a native speaker, rather than for someone with no knowledge of a language to attempt to write in it using google translate, as they will not spot the errors introduced by the translator.
Usually, the moderators would translate an untranslated post, and add it when the original post was not translated.

When someone does not know French or English, I think that they should write in their native language and translate using google translate.
I wrote this message initially in Polish. When I translated it using google translate, google altered the meaning of it - and corrected two grammar errors and one spelling mistake [I write badly]. Additionally, it changed the sentence from the ‘vous’ form to the ‘tu’ form, which is an error as bad in Polish as it is in French. The final version I posted is a hybrid of the google translate and my original sentence.
