England 1 Penny - Edward I (Sterling type)
There is an older listing within this section that was created by my predecessor more than 5 years ago, which covers silver pennies struck at the Tower mint, London across all 10 Groups issued under Edward's reign. This page will now be removed from the catalogue as all the individual types now have their own page:
[1 Penny - Edward I (London mint; classes 1-10)] - Edit: link no longer active as original page has now been deleted.
We would normally try to contact individual members to advise of them of catalogue updates and provide them with the opportunity to review their coins and determine under which type they should be listed. However, since there are 113 members showing a coin in their collection on the above page, we have taken the decision to notify by public forum.
1 Penny - Edward I (Sterling type; class 1a)
If you are one of these 113 members, then please be advised that your coin that was previosuly listed on the 'class 1-10' page is now going to be moved to the 'class 1a' page, to the London mint year line. Of course, you also have the option to move it to one of the other pages within the Sterling series,as you see fit, but any coins left in the old redundant page will be moved prior to the page being deleted.
We trust that the above meets with your approval but please feel free to get in touch if you need any further assistance at this time. Best regards and happy collecting
