Missing Year of the coins of some users [Risolto]

Hi!
I detected that couple of months ago in swap list of some users [not all Numista members, but just for some] coins "lost" their years. Instead of issued year stands "Undetermined".
Any ideas why?

Did they lose their dates or did the users simply added them under 'Undetermined'?

Type collectors don't care about the year in theory......

​I do not know, what they did, but same coins for some are with uears and for some others with Undertermined.

​When You are adding coin to Your swaplist, there are no option to play with years. so, that's why I rised this topic.

Because your wrote they "lost" their years the owners simply clicked on the add coin button ... as standard the "undetermined" line is selected there and never looked at the result. Most likely they are animals of habit and never saw that sometimes some things change.

I fully agree, this is totally annoying when searching for more coins to be added to the swap. You have to check if you already have this coin with couple of extra clicks. Really no good, needs better solution.

That is not a bug and can happen for different reasons:

1. The user did not enter a specific type for his coin when adding to his collection then it is set as undetermined by default;
   
2. The user did not know the variant and added it on purpose as undetermined;
   
3. A line was removed from the page because it was a mistake (duplicate year line, non existing variant, etc.) and the user's collection was moved from the removed line to the undetermined line on the same page;
   
4. A page has been deleted (duplicate page, year line on wrong page, etc.) and the user's collection was moved from the generic year line of the deleted page to the undetermined line of the page kept.
