It would be cool to have an option to export coin and banknote images as links during the export to excel or csv.

Mockup look:

For example, for the Algerian 10 Dinars coin the links would either be:

1) Thumbnail photos:

    obverse: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/photos/algerie/625aea72452185.20272735-180.jpg

    reverse: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/photos/algerie/625aea72a6a7e2.71960386-180.jpg

or

2) Full size photos

    obverse: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/photos/algerie/625aea72452185.20272735-original.jpg

    reverse: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/photos/algerie/625aea72a6a7e2.71960386-original.jpg

Would this be possible?

Isn't the link to the page (N# with link) sufficient?

No, you can't really get, or generate, a URL of the photos with the N# number. You can only get the URL of the coin page in the catalogue

It would be great, but I think the problem is that there may be 2 or more photos attached to the coin.

Maybe it is possible to create a special page for an exact coin with all the images.

Hello,

I know I'm not really answering your initial request, but you actually can generate a URL of the photos with the N# number.

For example, a picture of both sides of the coin N# 31098 is available at https://en.numista.com/catalogue/photo31098.jpeg

As a side note, if it's possible to include photo links in the export, it should also be possible to include the photo copyright.

Xavier, it would be great to have an ability to export links to your own coins attached to the collection! In this case no links to copyright is needed

This formula will do the trick.

=HYPERLINK(CONCAT("https://en.numista.com/catalogue/photo",MID(C2,4,LEN(C2)-3),".jpeg")

Assuming your N# is exported in column C of the spreadsheet.

I didn't know that, that's awesome. I agree about the copyright. Maybe overlay the copy text in the generated image?

I also like the suggestion by Grinya, an ability to export links to your own images attached to the coin or banknote

I would like to display coin and banknote photos on my website. I'm not sure if this is allowed.

This is not published yet and I will not publish it without an approval

I believe it will be up to the individual license. Each image has its own.

Slipstreamed

I believe it will be up to the individual license. Each image has its own.

The license for each image is not fixed and can be changed at any time.  For instance:

Public domain.

15 seconds later:

No longer public domain.

So if you're going to use the images you should also capture the license level at that time.

Actually I think that once a level is set at the time of upload it needs to be fixed at that level for this system to work.  Being able to change it defeats its purpose.

Yeah agreed!

I agree. Unfortunately there is no easy way to do this.

That being said, no photos will be present on my website.
