New section(s) to cover cheques ?

Hi,

I was wondering if there are any plans to add any sections related to bank cheques ?

I have a number of UK and US pre 1900 cheques (checks)and would be happy to contribute to get things started ?

You could document / search / filter on things like bank name,  named partners, branch, area, type of vignette, colour, format, size etc. and even which of the major banks they have been subsumed into (lineage), or if no longer in existence ?

Just an idea, as I could see a few under exonumeria, but no main category for them.

Cheques are not really numismatic items, even though they are financial instruments that have become obsolete in some countries.

To me, they are exonumia along with share certificates.

Thanks for the clarification…. Makes sense. Same probably applies to things like promissory notes and letters of credit as well I guess ?
