I have not been able to find any of the gold-colored United States Mint's 50 State Quarters® Program coins in the online catalog after 1999. Can someone tell me why?

John F.

Do you mean the brass-plated patterns? If you know of more pattern coins and have sources you can add them.

If you mean some post mint gilded coins, these don't belong in the catalog.

How do I tell? My mom had bought these quarters from the United States Commemorative Gallery back when they were selling them for those US States wall frames. Are you telling me only the 1999's were listed in the catalogue?

According to the catalogue they are heavier (dollar planchet), though I think the Georgia coin had the wrong weight

No new swaps for the moment, still too many half-ongoing swaps to clean up!

Do you have a picture of the coin?  Is it crazy shiny gold-colored, or like a darker brass color?

Here is a Mn-Brass one:

And this is gold plated:

United States Commemorative Gallery looks like a private business so they are just gilded quarters.

You can add them on the regular coin page with a comment that they are gilded.

Thanks everyone. I'll use the normal quarter listing with the comment.

I was figuring that they were just colored quarters meant to charge more for the price of a quarter. My mom was a hoarder on these and I couldn't get here to stop buying them. Now I just need to figure out what is here and how to get rid of them since I don't collect them.

If you have all 50 and have them framed it might make for a nice gift for her.

Thanks, but she has passed, that's how I ended up with them.

Bram, that's the right stuff, but it stops at 1999.
