Is the References section of a listing restricted to links to other Numista coins or can it link to other websites?
For Numista coins only.
Thanks Pejounet!
Precision: the idea behind is to provide links to other coins on Numista in specific cases.
Examples:
This section should not be used to link series as we have a dedicated feature for this e.g. “Titans of the innovation”.
It should not be used either to link various denominations together just because they share the same issuer.
If a link to an external website is helpful to provide background or content specifically on a coin, the general comment section can be used for this.
A plain/basic link shall be avoided (same for Wikipedia plain copy-paste, a ruler biography copy-paste, etc.) as it doesn't really help members nor the content itself; a wrap-up text or a couple sentences with a link to a detailed source is preferred.
Makes sense. Understood.
Please tell this to some refs in the Euro section were we still have it used for series like the e.g. German ‘Bundesländer’ and won't allow changes.

I made a change request to remove the links from one of the members of the Bundesländer series citing this discussion.

My change request was rejected. I appealed and the change was approved. The coin no longer has links to members of the series, and presumably the appropriate referees now know the rule.
I don't have plans to remove the links for the rest of the coins in the series. (My list of edits I want to make will fill up my available time for quite a while)

Again all CRs were shot down by Florino with ‘please no change it's good’, I even translated the explanation why into French. 😒
Who gets appealed requests again?

I believe either Xavier or Jarek process appeals.

You can write to Florino and mention this topic and if you don't feel listen you can always Appeal on the rejection:
Ask for a review of the validation result
If you don't agree with the result of the validation of your request, you can ask for a second review. A catalogue admin will review your initial request and the initial validation result, and revert to you.
Please provide details about why you need a second review:
Since 2 years the catalogue have gain a lot in structure of process but this also mean that not all referees are aware of all changes, so sometimes a short message to explain things are better than a long forum thread …
Thx, but that's not my first rodeo and I have provided more then enough explanation and reasons in my CRs.
The appeals have been send out a while ago and I hope they will go through in the next couple days.
