 Most often it appears on a page that only has one year line;  

so just by owning it you own all the types on that page - and get two ticks. 

 The more year lines, the harder to get the ticks. 

 Example - where I own 447 United Kingdom coins - this is my first page, and 

have five of the first six coins double-ticked. 

 The one coin with only a single tick:  

N#83116 

 has seven year lines, due to different edge lettering/types. I only have the first line. 

The other five pages I checked and indeed there is only one line.
