Bullion values

I love Numista, and use it as my primary source to quickly look up new coin pickups.

     It is extremely handy at flea markets & coin shows.

But I am curious about the “Bullion Values" on silver/gold coins listed.

*** I like to use it to quickly & easily get the value of junk silver.

My question is; How often does Numista update the listed bullion values ???  I know it's not in real-time. But is it several times a day…, or week.., or what ????

How often are Spot Price's of Precious Metals updated?

I just wanna be sure, I have a big coin show coming up and I'm planning on buying alot of foreign junk silver.

Yes, once a day.

It should not bring a huge difference if you're buying same day silver but you will always have some discrepancies with real-time rates.

Ok, it would really be nice if it would update at least a few times per day. But I guess once a day is better than not at all 😉

   Like I said.., I really love to use Numista at flea markets & coin shows…, to get quick bullion values on specific coins without having to sit there and do the math.

This isn't a stock exchange, why would you need to know that silver went up or own a few cents?

Well, esp at coin shows.., when your rambling through large boxes of foreign coins that the dealer says you can have them for spot (melt)…, I wanna be as accurate as possible (for me & him). If the show is on a Sat or Sunday.., but I'm using the spot from Friday.., that could throw the melt off by MORE than a couple cents.

There was actually no reason to update only once a day. I changed to update every hour.

AWSOME !!! Updating every hour is fantastic.., and will help alot.
