I believe we should turn Vichy France into a subsection of France. I believe this because it was more separate than compared to France during WW2. Also a similar but already existent one like what Vichy France could be is Saar. So Please turn Vichy France into a France subsection.
The "État de France", as it was officially called, should be treated like the other phases of French government. It's leader (Pétain) was the last prime minister (Président du Conseil des ministres) of the Third Republic. Although regarded as illegitimate by the post-war Republic, it was the successor government to the Third Republic and in no way constituted a new or separate country. The Free French were set up in opposition by de Gaulle and went on to control some of France's colonies but to claim “Vichy France was almost a separate nation from France” doesn't make sense, since the Free French almost immediately created the “Provisional Government of the French Republic” after D-Day to replace the Vichy regime, rather than claiming to already be the government from exile.
Numismatically, the coinage of the Republic continued to be issued until 1941 and several banknotes continued unchanged through the governmental changes, further undermining the notion that the State and Republic were distinct entities.

Understood. However it still had coinage and even though short-lived still should be recognized the same way as other countries.
The Zloty under German occupation was merged with the first zloty in Poland, so leave the Franc the way it is. There is no need to break it out as a separate currency just because the ruling authority changed.
Though shouldn’t Vichy France still be a subsection? This would help to clarify that Vichy France was not the entire France country at the time.
I think I may see your error now. Are you equating the "French State" with the unoccupied zone between 1940 and 1942? If so, you should realise that the occupied zone was part of the State and that the State continued to exist until 1944 despite the whole of France being under Axis occupation. Although the government was based in Vichy, Paris remained the capital.

Rejected. Not a separate issuer but a different ruling authority within the same issuer. The corresponding ruling authority is already on Numista as "French State".
