New threads get posted in the forum with the same language as your currently selected website language. If you post from the English website, it will go to the English forum. Same for French and Spanish.
This can be a problem… I explain:
I have interface in Spanish, and merge forum in English and Spanish. All my new topics go to the forum in Spanish. Right?
According to this, if I write a new topic (not a message reply) in English (in my mind with scope the forum in English, in order to can be read for users with access to forum in English; example: I post something related to all Numista community, a suggestion for Numista or a bug… not related to just the Spanish side), will go to forum in Spanish.
Of course, I can change my interface to English when I want write in the English forum, but I want see my interface in Spanish always.
Can be do this?:
- Add a new field “Default forum where publish new topics” in user settings? For example, I want the interface in Spanish always but I prefer publish, almost always, in the English forum.
- Add in new post a select box (or radio button) “Publish in the forum in”. The options will the selected languages in field “Merge forums: include messages in”, and the default option will be the selected in “Default forum where publish new topics”. This can be hidden in users with only one language in “Merge forums: include messages in”.
Then, when a I create a new topic, the system ask for the subject, the body of the message, and the forum language destination (I can keep the default option, or select other language).
