The notes were never issued, and are generally available for our collections in nice grade.

Please submit images of notes in your own collection to listings which have no image added yet.

No images from banknote museum please - these will be rejected, as better images from other sources can easily be got.

Yet again this shows how much we need to have a type for banknotes of “Unissued banknote”. We can't go on calling pieces like these “Standard banknote”. Other types are needed as well but this is perhaps the most pressing.

The  Polish Government-in-Exile  should be included as a constitutional period, as should the Norwegian Government-in-Exile.

Aidan.

During WW2 Polish Government in exile was recognised as being the legitimate government of Poland. It is reasonable to assume that the banknotes which were printed by it, dated in 1939, were done so with the intention of them being issued. This distinguishes them from, for example, Specimen notes or reprints, or collectors specimens. As such, I would consider these Polish banknotes to properly belong in the banknote catalogue. This is a precedent set by reference catalogues such as scwpm, and by collectors of the notes.
