Notification about new message.

I can't see a notification when a new message arrives. Is this a general problem?

I get an e-mail message. I've never looked for a notification inside the web site.

I just sent a message to myself and notification appears.

I meant number in brackets (1) next to “Messages” when the message comes. But it seems to be ok now.
