I noticed that when you ask editing reviews as a referree, the person who submitted cannot answer them while resubmitting. We just see again and again the original request, without their additional infos. I had to MP him to understand why he didnt answered my question.

Hello,

I just tested and I could not see the bug. Here is the process I tested:

  1. The contributor fills the form to add a coin to the catalogue. The field for the source is mandatory.
  2. The referee reviews the request and clicks “Ask for editing”. A comment is mandatory.
  3. The contributor sees that the request is in status “Modifications requested”.
  4. The contributor makes changes to the coin page. The field for the source is mandatory.
  5. The contributor clicks the link “submit again”.
  6. The referee review the request again. The referee can view the initial comment (“1” on the screenshot) from step 1 and the additional information (“2”) from step 4.

It's true that people can submit again without making a new modification (skip step 4) and in that case there is no additional information.

Shall we ask the contributor to add a comment when they submit again (step 5)?

Yes in my case he dodnt have to change anything in the entry itself, and the text he enters in “source” is not updated in this case.

The best would be to update it with new text even when nothing changed on the entry, but the comments trick could work too if less costly techniccally speaking

There is not always a step 4!

Few weeks ago I added tokens, similar but differents the referer ask what is the difference between the new page and an old one. So I submit again my request without modification but there is no way to answer the original question. I had to send a personal message or to trick the system. but before you put on submit again you should have a message to be fill.

Always look on the bright side of life!

Hello,

Contributors can now add a comment when submitting again a creation request.

The message is added to the “Source” section for review by the referee.

“Submit a creation request again” I think is the correct way to say it?
