Hello, how is calculated the total number of coins in the “My coins” page? And what every category means?

For example I have: 10855 coins and 1375 swap coins and that means I have 9480 coins in my collection, but my stats says 8130 different coins. How?

Also what's the difference between Different coins and Types?

Different coins are different year lines and different types are pages the year lines are on.

Different coins are different year lines and different types are pages the year lines are on.

Thank you, so basically I have “Types” number of different design coins.

A followup question.  If ‘types’ is the number of different ‘Numista pages’(N numbers, items)

and ‘different coins’ is distinct line counts on those page (so for example having a 1969 and 1971 of the same ‘type’ counts as 2)
then…..

…….what is ‘coins’ (the 2169 in my collection example below)?

Is that including duplicates of a year line - so if I had a 1969 and two 1971 of a single type I get

3 coins

2 different coins
1 type?

Right now I'm showing:
2169 coins
0 coins to swap
2090 different coins

1970 types

You have entries in 1970 different catalog pages, in those pages you have added items to 2090 unique year lines, have no coins selected for swapping, and a total amount of 2169 coins.

That is correct.

Let's say you have a 1 Numista coin.

You have year 2020, and therefore you put a 1 at that year.

Now you have 1 coin, 1 type, 1 different coin.

Then you get a 2021, which you of course add as soon as possible.

Now you have:

2 coins, 1 type, 1 different coin.

No new swaps for the moment, still too many half-ongoing swaps to clean up!

Yes, sorry! I was about to make a third example but then changed my mind and smashed them both together. Thanks!

Why can't we change that to:

x total coins

x types (designs)

x different years/lines (or variants)

What do you want to change? It is already as you suggest.

Once you hit 1k mark, this becomes very nice personally and watching from upper deck somewhat unimpressively less important. When you hit 5k mark, you may have some (even more) merry days understanding the statistics. When you hit 10k mark, these numbers become an abstract thing. Then you hit 15k mark and you don't care over this any more (its just like in the younger days - who had the longer one). When you hit 20k mark, you only see 30 k mark. Cannot say what comes after, haven't been there before. Enjoy, just let go the numbers.
